Funded courses for businesses
Does your company have employees who need Norwegian language training?
Your company may be eligible to apply for funding from the Norwegian Ministry of Education. We offer full support regarding application criteria and can assist you throughout the entire process.
Is it possible for my company to receive funding for 2026?
-
Funding for Norwegian language learning will only be available to those at levels A1-B1. Those with a higher language level or higher education recognized in Norway are not eligible to apply.
-
We invite both sole proprietorships and AS companies to register.
-
We know from experience that companies with fewer than 20 employees have a greater chance of having their application approved, but if your company employs more than 20 people, we also encourage you to contact us.
-
The employer will be obliged to appoint a contact person within the company who will support employees both substantively and practically during the course.
How and when to apply for funds from the Ministry of Education for 2027?
Please contact us using the application form on our website. We will take care of all the formalities related to submitting your application. The deadline for submitting applications for 2027 is January 20, 2027. Therefore, please contact us no later than November or December 2026 to ensure your application is submitted on time.
What own contribution do I have to provide?
The company will be required to make its own contribution (so-called "egenandel") to participate in the project. This includes, for example, remuneration for participants during the course, training facilities, meals, or similar costs. It may also include the costs of educational materials, such as textbooks.
When and where can funded courses start?
Responses to applications will be available in March or April 2027. After participant registration and an initial assessment of their level, classes may begin in spring 2027 at the earliest. In some cases, courses will begin in the fall of the same year.
Where and at what times are the in-person or online courses held?
Lessons take place at our office in Økern, online (using Teams), or at your chosen location – either at your company's office or another suitable space. Classes can be held during the day, afternoons, or weekends, and the schedule will be tailored to your company's needs.
How many hours of training can I receive and when must the course be completed?
Most courses will be completed in the same year in which funding is awarded. The deadline for completion and reporting for 2027 courses is autumn 2028. Each application submitted by our school requires a minimum of 150 hours of instruction.
How many people need to participate in the course?
The minimum number of participants is 5. If your company has fewer than 5 people interested in participating in the course, we will combine your application with another company in a similar industry to meet the required minimum.
Can a company in financial difficulty apply for funding for training?
The threat of bankruptcy or actual bankruptcy of a company disqualifies it from applying for funding for training.
